As I battle through all the score sheets I will update the stats accordingly, for today the Premier stats , all registered players and all the cup stats are available. Please note at present the stats only include the frames won in the cup games not the matches played in cup games ?????
10-03-10 LEAGUE MATCH 6 REPORT.........
Last nights action returned to the league business and it was 'business as usual' for the top sides. Premier leaders Players Baize inflicted another defeat on 'pointless' Locomotive, with a 11-7 score line. Players Trent used their game in hand over Plaza to leap frog the Plaza into second place after a tight 10-8 win over Green Baize A. Talbot recorded a 11-7 win over Longton Zzz's to move into fourth place. Crompos pool Club A and Abbey Hulton shared the points after a 9-9 draw.
In Division One Wolstanton Sc took a massive step forward beating rivals Crompos Pool Club B 11-7. Players Pool Club still remain in touching distance after sneaking passed Trent tavern 10-8. Longton Snooker B moved into third place with a 12-6 win over Joker. Plaza Town (formerly Newtown) had a excellent 10-8 win over Lambourne to 'christen' their new home.
Division Two was as predictable as ever with the top four sides all winning. Leaders Green Baize North beat Foley 13-5 to keep their 100% record going. Longton Snooker A beat Uncle Toms Cabin 14-4 , having lost to them in the opening round of the KO Cup !!!!.Green Baize B beat Longton WMC 12-6 and Nomads beat Corner Pin 13-5.

05-03-10 NEWTOWN MOVE VENUE ........ IT'S PLAZA TOWN ......
The Newtown have moved up the road to the Plaza Snooker Hall on King Street Fenton. They will play their first match at their new home on Tuesday v Lambourne and be known as Plaza Town.

03-03-10 SUPER SIXES ROUND TWO
Last nights action saw Round Two of the main event and Round One of the Plate event.Out of the seven matches played in the main event three went to the final frame decider.
Team of the round has to be Rileys, who for the second consecutive round, took out a Premier side, in this round they beat Crompos Pool Club A 7-6. Ashwood , from Division Two, almost beat Rileys to team of the round only they failed on the last frame losing 7-6 to Green Baize A. The third match to got to the wire was Abbey Hulton's victory over Locomotive, only a superb Andy Mullock clearance of all eight balls was the difference between the two sides.
Also through to Round Three go Players Baize 7-4 winners over unbeaten Second Division side Green Baize North. Plaza eased through by the same 7-4 margin over Crompos Pool Club B. Longton Zzz's made easy work of a potential 'bannana skin' beating First Division leaders Wolsatanton SC 7-3. And last, but not least, Trent Tavern made it through with a 7-4 win at Joker.
In the Super Sixes Plate Second Division Nomads had the win of the round beating Lambourne 7-4. Longton WMC won the all Second Division tie against Uncle Tom's Cabin 7-3.
The draws for the Quarter- Finals will be made at the league meeting tommorrow night (Thursday 4th)

27-02-10 INTERLEAGUE MATCH ONE
In this months Interleague match both of our sides in
the 'Elite' league clashed at the Longton Snooker venue.
The match got off to a 'explosive' start as Simon Knowles (Players Pool
Club)making his debut for Afford recorded a 8-ball clearance from his
first visit in a 'Afford' shirt. Paul Ward (Plaza) made it 2-0 with a
win over Phil Condliffe. Melvin Archer (Locomotive) made it 3-0 with a
win over Pete Flanagan.
Danny Lynch (Players Trent) got Afford Players on the 'board' with a win over Mark Copeland (Longton Zzz's) John Clowes (Plaza) and Andy Critchlow (Players Baize) strtched the lead further. Afford Players came back again with wins for Tony lennon and Rob Holland. 'Cheesey' produced quality pool to put Afford 6-3 up at the break.
Knowlesy then got his second off the night to make it 7-3 , but this signalled a Afford Players fightback. Wins for Danny Lynch , Phil Condliffe and a 8-ball clearance from Dave Jackson saw the match poised at 7-6.
With Afford having the experienced 'Clowsy' and
'Critch' at the table the team was optimistic and soon it proved
correct as they both won to make it 9-6. Rob smith then pulled one back
for Afford Players only for Gaz Copeland (Longton Zzz's) to put the final 'nail' in the
coffin as he took Afford to the majic 10....
Cheesey won frame 18 to give a overall 11-7 scoreline.
24-02-10 LEAGUE MATCH 5 REPORT
Better late than never..... Late result from Players Baize £££££££££......
Last nights action in the Premier Division saw leaders Players Baize sneak another 10-8 win, this week against Green Baize A. Plaza got back to winning ways, beating Locomotive 10-8, thanks to a 7-2 away win. Longton Zzz's continue to climb the table beating Crompos Pool Club A 11-7. Talbot's bubble has certainly burst as they took a 14-4 beating at the hands of Players Trent.
Wolstanton SC stay top of Division One after beating Trent Tavern 10-8. Crompos Pool Club B continue their impressive start to the season beating Rileys 11-7 and in doing so stay just a point behind Wolstanton with a game in hand. Players Pool Club moved into third place after a 11-7 win over Longton Snooker B. And finally in the first instalment of the 'battle of Blurton' it was the Joker who were 'laughing' as they beat Lambourne 11-7.
Division Two is getting boring already .... as Green Baize North continue to dominate the Division , last night they hammered Longton WMC 15-3. Longton Snooker A stay second after a 13-5 win over Foley. Green Baize B moved into third after a 10-8 win over Nomads. And Corner Pin got their first point of the season with a 9-9 draw against Ashwood .....
Next weeks action sees Round two of the Super Sixes and Round One of the Super Sixes Plate. Full draws ......
